We are seeking a dynamic Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our collaborative and forward-thinking Gastrointestinal (GI) Service. Our multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in gastroenterology, endoscopy, and GI surgery to deliver exceptional care for patients with digestive disorders.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced consultant gastroenterologists, GI surgeons, and specialist nurses in areas such as IBD and hepatology. You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of our inpatient and elective outpatient services as we continue to evolve and improve our model of care.
We welcome candidates with subspecialty interests that align with the department's and Trust’s strategic priorities, and are committed to supporting professional development in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, comprehensive gastroenterology care
Participate in the management of patients across two dedicated GI wards
Provide outpatient services, including endoscopy, clinics, and GI physiology
Take part in the on-call rota, including out-of-hours GI bleed cover
Contribute to service development and transformation initiatives
Support the education and supervision of junior doctors and wider MDT members

Senior Clinical Fellow – Emergency Medicine (ST4+ Equivalent) Location: East Midlands, UK Contract: 12 months, starting August 2025
Basic salary: £61,825 (with enhancements bringing total earnings to approximately £74,000–£75,000)
An opportunity is available for a senior doctor to join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team at a major UK hospital. The successful applicant will work at registrar level, receiving clinical supervision from Emergency Medicine consultants available on-site 24/7. The role includes monthly teaching days, dedicated development time, and ongoing support from assigned educational and clinical supervisors.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must have:
At least 6 years post-MBBS (or equivalent), including experience in an Emergency Department (ED)
ALS and ATLS provider certification
Full MRCEM (FRCEM is desirable but not essential)
Minimum 1 year experience at ST4 level or above in an ED within the NHS

Role Overview
Position: Consultant in Acute & General Medicine
Location: Major NHS Trust in Southeast England
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (10 PAs including on-call Rota)
Key Responsibilities
Lead ward rounds on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and short stay wards
Manage acute admissions and oversee Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)
Supervise and support junior doctors, medical students, and the wider MDT
Perform practical procedures and ensure safe, timely patient care
Participate in teaching, clinical governance, audits, and service improvement
Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to departmental strategy
Support service delivery and potentially develop a specialty interest (e.g., respiratory, critical care, endocrinology)
Teaching & Education
Deliver bedside teaching and support foundation, IMT, and undergraduate trainees
Engage in local teaching programmes and contribute to educational planning
Act as clinical and/or educational supervisor
Clinical Governance & CPD
Lead or participate in audit, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
Attend regular governance meetings within the AMU

We are looking for applicants to join an expanding team of Acute Medicine Consultants who are interested in progressing the journey of service development and innovative working within Acute Medicine.
Acute Medicine works closely with the Emergency Medicine team and all Medical Specialities, and you will be involved in the development of clinical processes to improve patient outcomes and experience.
The successful applicant, along with the other Acute Medicine Consultants, will be responsible for the care of patients on our Acute Medicine Unit and Acute Medicine Assessment Centre (Assessment and SDEC/Ambulatory care). You will be supported by a full multi-disciplinary team, which includes a junior medical team and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
The Trust has a strong Medical Education department, and the post holder would have a significant educational role, particularly in educational supervision of our IMT doctors and students.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive experience in Acute Medicine and we would entertain applicants seeking to work in Acute Medicine and another specialty.
Key Duties:
Leading ward rounds on the AMU, supporting junior doctors and the multidisciplinary team.
Post taking patients within ED and SDEC
Supervision of patients returning to SDEC (ambulatory clinic)

A forward-thinking NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join and further develop its evolving Frailty Unit within a dynamic Acute Geriatric Service. This new role addresses the growing demand for specialist, multidisciplinary care for older patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily senior reviews on the frailty unit
Opportunity to pursue special interests (e.g. pre-operative assessment, oncogeriatrics)
Work alongside a team including ACPs, frailty-trained nurses, and junior doctors
About the Service: The unit currently has 19 beds and is transitioning to a 16-bed model with 4 ambulatory chairs to support rapid assessment. The team is supported by experienced ACPs and a strong nursing workforce with frailty expertise.

Role Overview:
Full-time (10 PAs per week) supporting clinical haematology and laboratory services across two hospital sites.

Main Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and laboratory services, managing a full range of haematological conditions (BCSH level 2a).
