To be considered you will need to have experience at a senior level and either be on the Specialist Register or part way through your CESR/Portfolio Pathway. Role Overview This post includes 10 Programmed Activities (PAs): 8.5 PAs dedicated to direct clinical care. 1.5 PAs allocated to Supporting Professional Activities (SPA), with the potential for additional SPA time by mutual agreement for organisational roles. Positions are at two hospitals, covering a broad spectrum of anaesthetic services. We welcome applications from individuals seeking part-time or job-sharing opportunities. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties: Deliver safe, efficient, and effective anaesthetic care, contributing to the Trust’s mission of exceptional patient care. Participate in the consultant on-call rota for out-of-hours service provision. Provide professional supervision and management of junior medical staff, adhering to local HR policies. Engage in teaching and assessment activities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and ongoing medical education. Research & Audit: Actively contribute to medical audit and clinical governance processes. Incorporate research findings into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes. Policy & Planning: Assist in developing and reviewing clinical protocols and policies. Contribute to the strategic planning of anaesthetic services.
