Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine doctor looking to progress your career and work towards CESR accreditation?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive Emergency Department within a major acute NHS hospital (1000+ beds) and gain structured exposure and mentorship as you work toward Consultant-level competencies.


🔹 About the Role

The post of Senior Fellow in Emergency Medicine is ideal for doctors who already have substantial NHS Emergency Department experience and wish to enhance their clinical, leadership, and procedural skills while progressing along the CESR route.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality emergency care, gaining hands-on experience in a wide variety of acute presentations.

🔹 Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

  • ALS and ATLS provider certification

  • Minimum 5 years post-MBBS experience

  • At least 3 years in NHS Emergency Medicine at CT3 or higher level

  • Experience in a large acute hospital (1000+ beds – essential)

  • Active participation in audits and service improvement initiatives

  • For Tier 3 roles: Full MRCEM

  • For Tier 4 roles: Full MRCEM + IAC sign-off

  • Procedural sedation competencies and ST3-level sign-offs desirable
