Join a high-performing General Surgery team with a focus on Upper GI care.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated surgeon to join the General and Benign Upper GI Surgery team at a well-established NHS Trust in the North West of England. The post is ideal for candidates looking to expand their experience in elective and emergency general surgery with subspecialty exposure to Upper GI work.

You’ll work within a dynamic department delivering high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services across multiple sites.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage acute and elective general surgical patients
  • Assist and perform benign upper GI surgical procedures
  • Participate in emergency general surgery on-call rota
  • Attend outpatient clinics and contribute to MDTs
  • Take part in clinical governance, audit, and teaching

What We’re Looking For
  • GMC Registration (Full License to Practice)
  • MRCS 
  • At least 4 years post-graduate surgical experience
  • Competence in basic emergency procedures
  • Interest or experience in benign upper GI or colorectal surgery
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
