Role Overview
This post includes 10 Programmed Activities (PAs):
	8.5 PAs dedicated to direct clinical care.
	1.5 PAs allocated to Supporting Professional Activities (SPA), with the potential for additional SPA time by mutual agreement for organisational roles.
Positions are at two hospitals, covering a broad spectrum of anaesthetic services.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
	Deliver safe, efficient, and effective anaesthetic care, contributing to the Trust’s mission of exceptional patient care.
	Participate in the consultant on-call rota for out-of-hours service provision.
	Provide professional supervision and management of junior medical staff, adhering to local HR policies.
	Engage in teaching and assessment activities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and ongoing medical education.
Research & Audit:
	Actively contribute to medical audit and clinical governance processes.
	Incorporate research findings into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
Policy & Planning:
	Assist in developing and reviewing clinical protocols and policies.
	Contribute to the strategic planning of anaesthetic services.

	25 substantive consultants
	Up to 20 Specialist, SAS, and Clinical Fellow grade anaesthetists
	16 trainees from the East Midlands School of Anaesthesia (EMSA)

Seeking an experienced and committed Consultant in Dermatology, the applicant will have experience in diagnosing and managing all aspects of general dermatology with an emphasis on skin cancer and surgery.
 
The post will support inpatient referrals to the speciality and provide clinical expertise to the referring medical teams. This post will provide consultant leadership to the supervision of nursing teams delivering phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, drug monitoring / biologics clinic, patch testing and intralesional steroid and botox injections.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a well-established and comprehensive service that includes input from all related specialties, serving a diverse population of around 300,000 people in North Yorkshire. 
The service also includes a fully operational, commissioned Community Diabetes Service, where you’ll collaborate closely with our expert colleagues from nursing, dietetics, podiatry, and psychology to provide outstanding patient care.

Locum Consultant in Dermatology (fixed term 24 months)

We're excited to invite applicants to join a dynamic Dermatology team in North Yorkshire. 
We’re looking for dermatologists to join our fantastic group of 10 Consultants. The  NHS Trust offers a full range of general dermatology services, with two dedicated dermatological theatres and facilities for PDT, phototherapy, and patch testing. They also have day case theatres for more complex surgical procedures.
The department includes a team of specialist nurses who work on dermatological surgery, skin cancer clinics, and managing chronic inflammatory diseases. They are also supported by an associate specialist, two Specialty Registrars, three GPVTS Trainees, and a physician’s assistant. 
There are strong connections with other specialties, like Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Rheumatology, making collaboration easy and effective.
The dermatology team is very active in research, with both industry-sponsored and in-house projects supported by research nurses
The job involves undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and participating in the daytime on-call rota. 
Applicants should have a higher medical qualification (like MRCP or equivalent). You  must also have a full licence to practice with the GMC. 
The  NHS Foundation Trust serves around 800,000 people across the area.
