Role Overview:
We are seeking dedicated ENT Specialists to join the esteemed team at a North West University Hospitals Trust. The successful candidates will become integral members of our consultant rota, contributing to the comprehensive ENT services. Experience in general ENT is essential, and they actively support any sub-specialty interests.
On-Call Rota:1:5 weekends, 1:4 weekdays with prospective cover

- Conduct independent outpatient clinics
- Collaborate with the clinical lead to define the scope of work
The role includes independent theatre sessions (with SAS or CT1/2 support), independent outpatient clinics, on-call service coverage, and dedicated time for professional development.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Medical Degree from a recognised university
- Completed specialist training in ENT/Otolaryngology or equivalent qualification
- Compliance with the Specialist Grade Generic Capabilities Framework for both generic and ENT-specific capabilities
Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum of 12 years’ medical work experience since obtaining a primary medical qualification, with at least six years in a relevant specialty (Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades)
-NHS Experience
Desirable:
- Developed area of specialist interest
- Previous NHS employment

Essential Criteria:
GMC registration with a license to practise
Substantial experience in managing acute medical conditions in hospital settings

Evidence of involvement in audit, clinical governance, or quality improvement
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Criteria:
Subspecialty interest aligned with the department’s needs

Completion of teaching or postgraduate education qualifications
Published research or evidence of research involvement
Prior experience in the NHS as a consultant or senior clinician

About the Role:

What You’ll Do:
