Locum & Substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders
Location: Wales
Salary:  up to £154,760 per annum + benefits
Contract Options: Permanent and 24-month contracts available

Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with a passion for eating disorders and a drive to develop services? Join the forward-thinking Eating Disorder Service with this Welsh Health Board and become part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.

About the Role:
As part of the Adult Eating Disorder Team, you’ll work closely with nurses, psychotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, and medical staff, while collaborating with the Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services and Adult Mental Health Teams. Your focus will be on early intervention and equipping clients with skills for community living, ensuring they experience a seamless and coordinated approach to care.

In this role, you’ll have clinical responsibility for managing this client group, overseeing Care and Treatment Plans, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.

What You’ll Need:

  • Medical qualification (MRC Psych or equivalent)
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for driving service improvement
  • Strong grasp of current developments in psychiatry and mental health care
  • Experience with change management, relevant legislation, and mental health issues, plus a knowledge of purchaser/provider contractual issues

Candidates who do not yet have their Specialist Registration, but do have Consultant level experience are welcome to apply.  

We are also very pleased to accept applications from overseas Psychiatrists with GMC.  - The department have a strong CESR/Portfolio Pathway to support Locum Consultants gain entry onto the Specialist Register.

Consultant / Locum in Stroke Medicine Salary: £105,504 – £139,882 per annum, depending on experience (for 10 PAs) Additional PAs may be available Indigo Healthcare is proud to partner with a modern hospital in the North of England currently seeking a Consultant or Locum in Stroke Medicine to join their expanding team. The Stroke Department sits within the Directorate of Elderly Care, Stroke and Rehabilitation, under the Speciality Medicine Collaborative. The service manages approximately 700 stroke patients annually across the region  and sees around 20 patients per week in the Neurovascular Clinic at the Trsut.  The Trust has a Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU), comprising 10 HASU beds, 25 acute/rehabilitation beds, and an additional 15 acute/rehabilitation beds. The successful candidate will join an established, forward-thinking team with the opportunity to shape and further develop a high-quality stroke service across the region. The department delivers a 7-day stroke and TIA clinic model, accelerating diagnosis and treatment, and supporting integrated pathways into community care. Main Duties of the Role: Provide high-quality care for patients with stroke and related conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings. Work collaboratively as part of a growing multidisciplinary team of six Consultants. Participate in the provision of a 7-day stroke service including TIA clinics. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of stroke care within the Trust. Engage in teaching and supervision of medical trainees and multidisciplinary colleagues. Participate in the on-call rota and emergency care as required.
