Locum Consultant in Stroke

Job Opportunity: Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine North East NHS Foundation Trust   About the Role: We are excited to invite applications for a Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join the dedicated and friendly team. The service delivers high-quality care across hyper-acute, acute, and rehabilitation domains of stroke medicine.  Key Responsibilities: - Participate in the reperfusion on-call service, including thrombolysis and selecting patients for mechanical thrombectomy at the local neurosciences centre. - Commit to a 1 in 6 on-call rota. - Serve as the Physician of the Week 1 in 6 weeks (ward rounds). - Manage Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit admissions. - Conduct outpatient clinics, including TIA and stroke follow-ups. - Provide consultant cover on the rehabilitation ward.
