We are passionate about fostering strong mental health across our team and our network of clients and candidates, whether they work with us for years or, in the case of some candidates, just weeks. Connection, community and giving back are just some of the foundations of good mental health and we believe it’s even more important than ever given the constraints and challenges of recent years that we look out for each other and raise each other up as individuals and as a community.

Cubed Talent (Indigo’s parent company) has a long history of charity fundraising and this year our chosen charities have been Martin House Children’s Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support. It was a pleasure after a 2-year hiatus to bring back our coffee mornings on-the-road, visiting our partners across West Yorkshire with cakes, teas and coffees to have a good catch up and collect some cash for a very worthy cause. Many Cubed and Indigo team members have interacted with Macmillan in recent years and witnessed the phenomenal work they do, so it was wonderful to raise over £300 raised from the Talent team and our partners from our coffee morning in September.

Regular visitors to our website and social pages will have read all about the Dragon Boat Race for Martin House in the summer! You can see a run-down of the day here, where members of the Talent team donned extremely warm animal costumes to race and tug-o-war all for the great cause. Martin House provide family-led hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses, and our racing endeavours were in memory of Harry and Grace, who were cared for by Martin House for much of their short lives. The Dragon Boat race was just a part of the day’s fundraising, with face painting, pizza cooking and general frivolity the overriding themes! It was a truly great day, and we are excited to take part once again in 2023.

It was great to take some time out late in November to speak with Rebecca Taylor, our regional fundraiser for Martin House. Rebecca visited us at our Saltaire HQ to pick up the last of our 2023 fundraising cash, which brings our yearly total to £2,162.25 - raised through a combination of the Dragon Boat race in the summer, and our tuck shop which raises donations selling treats and snacks in the office. There are a wide variety of ways for businesses and individuals to get involved with Martin House through fundraising and volunteering; it really can be as big or small as you can manage so do reach out to Rebecca if this is something that interests you.
