Locum Consultant Paediatrician – Diabetes +/- Endocrinology (12-Month Fixed-Term) 10 PAs + 5% On-Call Supplement A 12-month fixed-term opportunity is available for a Locum Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in diabetes, and optionally endocrinology, to join a supportive and forward-thinking paediatric team. Role Overview: Participate in Consultant of the Week and twilight rotas. Cover night shifts (4 per 10-week cycle), with rest days either side. Conduct diabetes (4) and general paediatric clinics (up to 10) per 10-week cycle. Up to 6 endocrinology clinics and 4 joint clinics with a regional tertiary centre, depending on experience. The Team: You'll work with an experienced paediatric diabetes team, including specialist nurses and youth workers. The department values collaborative care, education, and innovation, with support for leadership development and research. Requirements: GMC registration and MRCPCH (or equivalent). Experience in general paediatrics, diabetes, neonatology, and safeguarding. APLS/NLS (within last 4 years). Strong communication, leadership, and teamworking skills.
