Job Overview
An NHS Trust in North West England is seeking a Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia to join the Anaesthetic Department .This is a 23-month locum consultant position with a focus on General Anaesthesia and Obstetric Anaesthesia.
The successful candidate will contribute to delivering a high-quality anaesthetic service for surgical and obstetric patients, while participating in the consultant on-call rota for these services. The role involves minimal ICU ward responsibilities, making it particularly suitable for consultants whose primary interest is in general and obstetric anaesthesia.
Key Responsibilities

Provide consultant-level anaesthesia for general surgical and obstetric procedures

Participate in the on-call rota for general and obstetric anaesthesia

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team

Contribute to clinical governance, teaching, and service development

Maintain high standards of patient safety and perioperative care
Essential Requirements

Full GMC Registration with License to Practice

CCT / CESR in Anaesthesia or equivalent recognized training (or ability to work at Consultant level)

Demonstrated experience in General Anaesthesia and Obstetric Anaesthesia

Willingness to participate in consultant on-call duties

Experience working within NHS or equivalent healthcare systems
