A leading NHS organization in the North of England is seeking a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join their expanding surgical team. This full-time, substantive post offers a blend of general oral and maxillofacial surgery, trauma, and skin cancer management.

About the Role

You will:

Deliver elective and emergency OMFS care across multiple hospital sites
Take part in a 1:4 general consultant on-call Rota, with a weekend trauma list
Play an active role in the skin cancer service, in collaboration with ENT, dermatology, and clinical nurse specialists
Contribute to regional multidisciplinary cancer meetings
Be involved in teaching, audit, research, and service development

Candidate Profile

Essential:

Dual qualification (MBChB + BDS or equivalent)
Full GMC registration (GDC registration desirable)
FRCS (OMFS) or equivalent
Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT)
Broad general OMFS experience including trauma
Evidence of team working, audit, and personal development

Desirable:

Subspecialist training in skin cancer surgery
Experience in skin cancer MDTs
Teaching qualifications or publications
Formal leadership or management training
