A leading NHS organization in the North of England is seeking a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join their expanding surgical team. This full-time, substantive post offers a blend of general oral and maxillofacial surgery, trauma, and skin cancer management.
About the Role
You will:
- Deliver elective and emergency OMFS care across multiple hospital sites
- Take part in a 1:4 general consultant on-call Rota, with a weekend trauma list
- Play an active role in the skin cancer service, in collaboration with ENT, dermatology, and clinical nurse specialists
- Contribute to regional multidisciplinary cancer meetings
- Be involved in teaching, audit, research, and service development

Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Dual qualification (MBChB + BDS or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration (GDC registration desirable)
- FRCS (OMFS) or equivalent
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT)
- Broad general OMFS experience including trauma
- Evidence of team working, audit, and personal development
Desirable:
- Subspecialist training in skin cancer surgery
- Experience in skin cancer MDTs
- Teaching qualifications or publications
- Formal leadership or management training
