Innovative service delivery with the opportunity to help shape a combined ID and Microbiology service. This role also offers flexibility to combine Infectious Diseases with Microbiology or Acute Medicine, depending on your interests. This is a substantive role, offering the chance to contribute to service development, innovation, and delivery of excellent patient care within a dynamic NHS Trust. 🔑 Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality clinical care for patients admitted under Acute Medicine. Participate in the acute take, including assessment and early management of acutely ill patients. Contribute to the development of ambulatory care pathways and same-day emergency care. Supervise, support, and train junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare staff. Engage actively in audit, clinical governance, and quality improvement projects. Play a role in shaping and improving acute medical services within the hospital and Trust. ✅ Person Specification Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Acute Medicine or General Internal Medicine OR within 6 months of attaining CCT at the time of interview (with Specialist Registration by commencement date).
