A highly respected care provider is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a residential care home, supporting individuals with complex needs including dementia and nursing care. About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care is delivered in line with CQC regulations, internal policies, and the Social Care Act. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure clinical and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical compliance and all operational departments

  • Lead and develop staff through supervision, training, and mentorship

  • Ensure safe staffing, rota management, and recruitment oversight

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, and external professionals

  • Champion quality, safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety standards

  • Deliver exceptional person-centred care in line with best practice guidelines

  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators, audits, and action plans

  • Promote a culture of accountability, dignity, and compassion


Requirements

Essential:

  • RGN/RMN Qualification (Active NMC PIN)

  • Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience as a Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a regulated setting

  • Strong knowledge of dementia care, CQC compliance, and clinical governance

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage budgets, audits, and performance reports

  • Flexible and hands-on management style with an ‘on call’ commitment

Desirable:

  • Existing local authority/commissioning relationships

  • Experience with marketing and admissions strategy

  • Evidence of cost management and efficiency improvements
