About the Role
Senior Clinical Fellow – Emergency Medicine (ST4+ Equivalent) Location: East Midlands, UK Contract: 12 months, starting August 2025
Basic salary: £61,825 (with enhancements bringing total earnings to approximately £74,000–£75,000)
An opportunity is available for a senior doctor to join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team at a major UK hospital. The successful applicant will work at registrar level, receiving clinical supervision from Emergency Medicine consultants available on-site 24/7. The role includes monthly teaching days, dedicated development time, and ongoing support from assigned educational and clinical supervisors.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must have:

At least 6 years post-MBBS (or equivalent), including experience in an Emergency Department (ED)

ALS and ATLS provider certification
-
Full MRCEM (FRCEM is desirable but not essential)

Minimum 1 year experience at ST4 level or above in an ED within the NHS
What Clinical Fellows Can Expect

Develop advanced skills in assessment and management of acutely unwell patients

Manage a wide range of medical presentations and make decisions around admission, discharge, and referrals

Gain exposure to managing polytrauma and ‘silver trauma’ patients

Opportunity to learn advanced procedures like fascia iliaca block and chest drain insertion

Improve communication skills with patients, families, and MDTs

Stay current with mandatory training
