Home Manager – Residential Care - Nursing and Dementia

A highly respected care provider is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a residential care home, supporting individuals with complex needs including dementia and nursing care. About the Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care is delivered in line with CQC regulations, internal policies, and the Social Care Act. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure clinical and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee clinical compliance and all operational departments
Lead and develop staff through supervision, training, and mentorship
Ensure safe staffing, rota management, and recruitment oversight
Build strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, and external professionals
Champion quality, safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety standards
Deliver exceptional person-centred care in line with best practice guidelines
Monitor and improve key performance indicators, audits, and action plans
Promote a culture of accountability, dignity, and compassion
Requirements
Essential:
RGN/RMN Qualification (Active NMC PIN)
Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a regulated setting
Strong knowledge of dementia care, CQC compliance, and clinical governance
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage budgets, audits, and performance reports
Flexible and hands-on management style with an ‘on call’ commitment
Desirable:
Existing local authority/commissioning relationships
Experience with marketing and admissions strategy
Evidence of cost management and efficiency improvements
