- Hospital-based accommodation requirement: must reside within 10 miles (or 30 minutes by road) for on-call duties
- GMC full registration with license to practice
- FRCA or equivalent, with FFICM Accreditation
- Entry on GMC Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT/Portfolio Pathway (CESR) approval at interview)
- Demonstrated independent clinical experience in ICM at Consultant level
- CV must reflect the relevant skills and experience for the specialty
- Post CCT Fellowship in ICM or relevant subspecialty
- FICE/FUSIC accreditation
- Instructor qualification in Life Support courses (ALS, ATLS, etc.)
- Virtual Technical Panel Interview followed by an in-person Advisory Appointment Committee
