Delivering Critical Clinical Talent in Record Time

When faced with urgent workforce needs, speed, quality, and seamless execution are essential. Recently, we partnered with an NHS trust to deliver exactly that - helping them fill critical surgical roles in just five working days.

The Challenge

The trust urgently required two Senior Clinical Fellows specialising in upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) surgery. These were six-month fixed-term posts, with a start date just weeks away. Without these hires, the hospital faced increased reliance on costly locum cover, impacting both budgets and continuity of patient care.

Our Approach

  • Managing the entire process, from candidate sourcing and vetting to interview coordination and offer management.

The Results

Within five working days:

  • Nine high-calibre candidates were identified, with eight shortlisted for interview.

  • Two top candidates were appointed, with two additional reserves in place.

  • The project was delivered on time and in full, achieving a 30% cost reduction compared to traditional agency routes.

All candidates were fully vetted, committed to the fixed-term contracts, and available for the required start date, ensuring stability for the department and improved continuity of care for patients.
