Locum Consultant in Sports & Exercise Medicine

Part time 4.75 PAs. No on call commitment. 

Salary is up to £146,000 pa pro rata 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Locum Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) Consultant to join a leading NHS Trust in the East Midlands.

This post will provide a minimum of 4.75 PAs per week and is intended to support ongoing SEM service delivery, with the potential to develop into a substantive part-time post.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Outpatient SEM clinics across multiple sites

• Clinical supervision of trainees

• Contribution to governance, audit, and quality improvement

• Collaboration on physical activity and health improvement strategies, including the Active Hospitals legacy and National Rehabilitation Centre integration

The SEM department has a strong history of over 25 years and offers opportunities to work closely with colleagues across MSK, community, and rehabilitation services.

Essential requirements:

• Full GMC registration

• Evidence of SEM competence at consultant level

Applicants must be able to travel between clinical sites within Nottingham and Loughborough.
