Role Overview:

The Role
As an Audiology Expert specialising in Medico-Legal reporting, you will:
Conduct hearing assessments and produce BSA-compliant audiograms for a wide range of cases including Personal Injury, Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), and clinical negligence.
Travel nationally to carry out assessments (all travel expenses paid).
Work closely with the admin team, who will arrange your appointments and provide full secretarial support.
Maintain a compassionate, professional, and empathetic approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed audiological assessments in a Medico-Legal context.
Prepare clear, accurate, and evidence-based reports within agreed deadlines.
Communicate effectively with patients, legal professionals, and colleagues.

Stay up to date with best practices and advancements in Audiology.
Ensure full compliance with confidentiality, legal, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
BSc, MSc, AuD or equivalent in Audiology.
Significant clinical experience in audiology practice.
Experience preparing Medico-Legal audiograms (highly desirable).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to explain findings clearly.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
Membership in professional bodies such as HCPC or British Society of Audiology.

About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join a high-performing NHS stroke service. You will lead and deliver high-quality stroke care across inpatient and outpatient pathways, with access to state-of-the-art diagnostics, therapy teams, and collaborative multidisciplinary support. This is a vital role as the Trust strengthens its Hyperacute Stroke Unit and develops thrombectomy and rehabilitation services.
Main Responsibilities
Lead daily stroke ward rounds on the Hyperacute and Acute Stroke Units.
Conduct and support TIA and follow-up clinics.
Participate in the thrombolysis rota (including remote advice).
Provide clinical leadership in collaboration with Acute, General, Neurology, and Geriatric Medicine teams.
Liaise closely with community stroke rehabilitation teams and allied health professionals.
Support education for trainees, FY doctors, and medical students.
Engage in audit, quality improvement, and research activity (e.g. SSNAP).
Attend governance meetings, contribute to clinical strategy, and assist service development.
