Consultant Geriatrician (fixed term contract)

A forward-thinking NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join and further develop its evolving Frailty Unit within a dynamic Acute Geriatric Service. This new role addresses the growing demand for specialist, multidisciplinary care for older patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily senior reviews on the frailty unit

  • Opportunity to pursue special interests (e.g. pre-operative assessment, oncogeriatrics)

  • Work alongside a team including ACPs, frailty-trained nurses, and junior doctors

About the Service: The unit currently has 19 beds and is transitioning to a 16-bed model with 4 ambulatory chairs to support rapid assessment. The team is supported by experienced ACPs and a strong nursing workforce with frailty expertise.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration

  • MRCP or equivalent

  • Experience in elderly care and interest in service development

Desirable:

  • Subspecialty interest within Geriatrics/Frailty

  • Involvement in audit, quality improvement, or research

Locum Consultant Paediatrician – Diabetes +/- Endocrinology (12-Month Fixed-Term) 10 PAs + 5% On-Call Supplement A 12-month fixed-term opportunity is available for a Locum Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in diabetes, and optionally endocrinology, to join a supportive and forward-thinking paediatric team. Role Overview: Participate in Consultant of the Week and twilight rotas. Cover night shifts (4 per 10-week cycle), with rest days either side. Conduct diabetes (4) and general paediatric clinics (up to 10) per 10-week cycle. Up to 6 endocrinology clinics and 4 joint clinics with a regional tertiary centre, depending on experience. The Team: You'll work with an experienced paediatric diabetes team, including specialist nurses and youth workers. The department values collaborative care, education, and innovation, with support for leadership development and research. Requirements: GMC registration and MRCPCH (or equivalent). Experience in general paediatrics, diabetes, neonatology, and safeguarding. APLS/NLS (within last 4 years). Strong communication, leadership, and teamworking skills.   Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine An opportunity has arisen for experienced Consultants in Intensive Care Medicine to join a busy, 24/7 ICU service operating across two acute hospital sites in Lincolnshire. These full-time positions include 10 programmed activities per week, with part-time arrangements considered. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-level critical care within the ICU and support other departments with expert advice. Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota, including holiday and festive periods. Contribute to continuous service improvement and clinical leadership. Support multidisciplinary teamwork and uphold the highest standards of patient care. Person Requirements: GMC registration with a full licence to practice . Ability to work across sites and respond to emergencies within 30 minutes. Desirable: NHS experience, additional anaesthetic training, and ultrasound qualifications (e.g. FICE). Understanding of GPICS, Datix, and clinical governance.
