- Deliver expert clinical care in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
- Provide endoscopy services, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Participate in acute medical take and inpatient gastroenterology care.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and patient pathways.
- Lead and support junior doctors, medical students, and specialist nurses.
- Engage in audit, research, clinical governance, and service development.
- Essential:
- Possession of MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Gastroenterology (or within 6 months of attaining CCT at interview).
- Alternatively, possession of the European Speciality Examination in Gastroenterology & Hepatology (or equivalent).
- Desirable:
- Previous NHS Consultant-level experience.
- Evidence of leadership, teaching, and commitment to service improvement.
- On-call responsibilities shared with the Medicine team.

We are seeking a Consultant Haematologist with a subspecialty interest in Myeloma to join a well-established Haematology team across Derby and Burton Hospitals. This is an excellent fixed-term opportunity for 6 months, with the chance to contribute to high-quality patient care and multidisciplinary services.
🔑 Role Details:
Clinics: 2 dedicated Myeloma clinics + 1 General Haematology clinic per week
Clinics mainly based at Derby, with occasional requirement to cover Burton site
Ward attendance: 2 weeks every 8 weeks
On-call commitment: 1 in 12 (weekends & weekdays)
Provide advice, guidance, referrals and laboratory cover as required

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Locum Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) Consultant to join a leading NHS Trust in the East Midlands.
This post will provide a minimum of 4.75 PAs per week and is intended to support ongoing SEM service delivery, with the potential to develop into a substantive part-time post.
Key aspects of the role include:
Outpatient SEM clinics across multiple sites
Clinical supervision of trainees
Contribution to governance, audit, and quality improvement
Collaboration on physical activity and health improvement strategies, including the Active Hospitals legacy and National Rehabilitation Centre integration
The SEM department has a strong history of over 25 years and offers opportunities to work closely with colleagues across MSK, community, and rehabilitation services.
Essential requirements:
Full GMC registration
Evidence of SEM competence at consultant level
Applicants must be able to travel between clinical sites within Nottingham and Loughborough.
